Fenugreek side effects for females
Many women are going to embark in a very dangerous adventure for increasing their breasts size which may involves exposing their bodies to many risks and side effects.
There are many products on the market that promise to help women increase their breasts size, a lot of these products are plain dangerous.
One of the most common herbs in many breast enlargement products is fenugreek, however most women are not aware of its side effects and what fenugreek can do to their health if used in a bad way, especially when it comes to breast’ health!
So, let’s talk about the most common fenugreek side effects when it comes to breasts enlargement:
Reduce breast size
Does fenugreek reduce breast size?
If you stop taking fenugreek intake, will your breasts get smaller?
This is probably the most common question I receive from my readers, and it seems that it’s also the most worrying.
You see, a lot of women think that fenugreek consumption is synonymous with permanent breast enlargement, well, this is absolutely not true!
We are going to discuss later on in this post how fenugreek can increase your breasts size, but suffice it to know that when you consume adequate amounts of fenugreek, your breasts are going to get engorged with liquids, however, if you don’t know what you are doing, in other words, if you don’t follow precise daily ritual with different herbs, then, the moment you stop your fenugreek intake, your breasts are going to get smaller!
And here, I don’t mean that your breasts are going to get smaller than they were before, they will just go back to their normal size.
The good news is that this process takes a very long time, and with a good weekly ritual, you can maintain breasts growth and enlargement indefinitely.
Does fenugreek cause breast cancer?
I also keep receiving many questions every week about the role of fenugreek in breast cancer development!
Yes, I know that this is very scary, but I want you to be very cautious of what you are going to read on the internet, especially on forums and herbal reviews.
You see, fenugreek has been accused of causing breast cancer because it contains phytoestrogens, in other words, plant hormones that resemble real female hormones, and since most people know of the damaging effects of too much estrogen in the female body and how it can cause different types of cancers ranging from ovarian to even breast cancer, it’s quite obvious that most are going to think that since fenugreek is going to increase phytoestrogens levels in the blood, then, it must also cause breast cancer.
This couldn’t be further from the truth, in fact, according to many studies, fenugreek is an anticancer agent, in other words, it’s even considered as a viable option for cancer prevention.
In fact, a study by the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, under the title: Fenugreek: a naturally occurring edible spice as an anticancer agent , came to the following conclusion:
“…fenugreek seeds possess potent anti-cancer properties…”
You can read the study for free here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3095649/pdf/nihms283130.pdf
No, fenugreek does not cause breast cancer.
How does fenugreek help increase your breast size?
I’m going to answer this question very briefly because I have many articles in this website that deal extensively with this subject.
So, fenugreek has powerful phytoestrogens, plant molecules that resemble in shape and in positive effects female estrogens, the most common one is naringenin.
These phytoestrogens play a crucial role in fenugreek’s positive effects when it comes to increasing breast size because of what is referred to as galactogogue.
Galactogogue simply means an herbal remedy or a chemical substance that increase the production of breast milk in nursing mothers, it’s also used in nursing farm animals as well.
Fenugreek’s galactogogue effects have been known for hundreds of years and even used by many women around the world to this day, to read more about this subject, I highly recommend that you check out these free scientific articles:
When you consume fenugreek seeds, preferably ground fenugreek seeds, your breasts are going to get engorged with liquids, whether you are breastfeeding or not, and this is how fenugreek can increase breast growth and cause breast enlargement.
Of course, there are other processes such as fat retention and breasts firmness and volume, to read more about these, check out my previous posts.
But, you need to be aware; most women think that consuming fenugreek is a guarantee for gaining lots of cup sizes quickly and easily!
This is not true at all, what you are going to gain is some few centimeters in breasts size and volume, trust me, I’ve been using fenugreek and I know to what extent it increases breast size.
It can’t be compared to surgery, but it’s not negligible either, the results are totally natural and they are completely safe if you respect the maximum daily dosage.
What you need to understand is that fenugreek alone is not going to do much to your breasts size; you have to use a different combination of herbs, like fennel seeds, and saw palmetto.
These three herbs are not only very efficient for increasing your breast size; they are also extremely efficient for making your breasts look firmer and perkier.
Now, let’s talk about the most common fenugreek side effects when it comes to breasts enlargement:
My breast sensitivity increased dramatically when I started taking fenugreek; I suspect it’s because of all the phytoestrogens found in it, they have made my breasts more sensitive and engorged with liquid.
However, do not imagine that breast sensitivity means pain, far from this, fenugreek is an amazing plant, it’s going to prevent so many diseases related to hormones, but most importantly, you must understand that breast sensitivity, when caused by fenugreek, can differ from one woman to another.
For me, I felt it during the first few weeks of using it, but then, it disappeared, so, every person is different, that’s why you need to start gradually taking fenugreek seeds on a daily basis.
I will come back to this later on in this post.
Breast sensitivity can also be regarded as a positive side effect for many women.
For me, it wasn’t, but I know that a lot of my friends love it when their breasts become more sensitive, I have been told that it’s even desired when it comes to foreplay and sexual arousal.
Which brings me to a very important point:
I know that it’s not a side effect, but I really think that you should be aware of it.
In a scientific article titled: Influence of a Specialized Trigonella foenum‐graecum Seed Extract (Libifem), on Testosterone, Estradiol and Sexual Function in Healthy Menstruating Women, a Randomised Placebo Controlled Study, published in the Journal Phytotherapy Research, it’s clearly noted the following:
“The results indicate that this extract of T. foenum‐graecum may be a useful treatment for increasing sexual arousal and desire in women.”
T. foenum‐graecum refers to fenugreek.
Be ready, when you start using fenugreek for breast enlargement, you’ll experience this side effect.
Can fenugreek cause breast pain?
Don’t forget, as mentioned before, your breasts are going to get engorged with liquids.
This will cause nerve endings to send pain signals to your brain, most of the time, this would result in discomfort and somehow painful sensations when your breasts are under stress or pressure.
This is the reason why I have advised many of my readers to stop wearing padded bras or bras at all especially when they go to bed as this is going to cause more breast pain during the next day.
In my situation, this side effect didn’t last very long, it was gone after just some few days, but I have to be honest with you, the first few days were very painful but the pain simply disappeared soon after.
When you start taking fenugreek seeds to increase breast growth, your nipples are going to become very sensitive.
You will feel an occasional tingling sensation, and when you wear uncomfortable clothes, especially bras that push your breasts up, you will feel more tingly sensations and you may even feel pain in your nipples.
Because your breasts are going to get engorged with liquids, in some very rare occasions, even when you are not breastfeeding or pregnant, you may have breast discharges.
This would happen when you consume large amounts of fenugreek seeds, and it may also happen when you are on hormonal treatments because fenugreek seeds are going to add phytoestrogens your blood stream which have similar effects to female hormones, as stated before, and thus will cause more liquid retention in your breasts.
Phytoestrogens in fenugreek seeds are going to thicken the lining of your womb.
This is going to cause more bleeding when you are menstruating.
There is nothing to worry about, however, if this bleeding is accompanied with pain, especially if you do not have PMS and cramps during your periods, then, you need to stop taking fenugreek immediately.
However, pain is very rare since fenugreek is also a very powerful anti-inflammatory herb.
Because of the phytoestrogens in fenugreek seeds, you may notice a delay in your menstruation, in my situation, I noticed a five days delay.
I’m not going to lie to you, the first three days, I was careless, but then, I started becoming really worried.
My advice is very simple, if your period is late for more than two weeks, you need to check with your doctor.
But from my experience, and from asking many women, you may encounter 2 to 4 days of delay, but it’s very rare to be late on your menstruation for more than one week.
Fenugreek and birth control
Can you take fenugreek while you are on birth control?
You may think that since fenugreek seeds contain high amounts of phytoestrogens, estrogen like plant hormones, then, it can be very risky when you take the seeds while you are on the pill.
The answer is absolutely not, personally, I have been on birth control for a long time now, more than two years and fenugreek hasn’t played any tricks on me.
Can you use fenugreek as birth control?
Many women might think that because fenugreek contains a large number of plant hormones, then it may share similarities with contraceptive pills and thus create a hormonal imbalance to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.
The truth is that fenugreek’s plant hormones are not your typical female hormones and won’t cause a hormonal overload, they are in a category of their own.
If you relay on fenugreek to avoid getting pregnant, you will regret this decision!
Fenugreek is absolutely not allowed when you are pregnant, as it increases the chances of miscarriage and birth defects as well!
Indeed, fenugreek is known for its teratogenic effect in many countries and in the scientific literature, you can read more about the subject here: http://ijpsr.com/bft-article/an-overview-of-plants-causing-teratogenicity-fenugreek-trigonella-foenum-graecum/?view=fulltext
Fenugreek and sleep
As a side effect of taking fenugreek seeds for breast enlargement, you may feel sleepier.
This is quite common since a lot of women will feel more relaxed and is even described in a scientific study under the title Neuropharmacological Activity of Trigonella foenum graecum Linn. Seeds published in the Journal of Natural Remedies http://informaticsjournals.com/index.php/jnr/article/view/209, where the following is stated:
“Thus from the above studies, the active compounds present in the fenugreek seed extracts possess CNS, central nervous system, stimulant and depressant activities.”
Soaked fenugreek seeds side effects
This side effect is going to happen when you consume soaked fenugreek seeds.
From asking many women, I came to understand that a lot tend to soak fenugreek seeds, they will take for example one tablespoon and simply soak them overnight, the next morning, they will drink the water and chew the soaked fenugreek seeds.
First of all, I have tried this technique, it’s not practical at all because you need to chew the soaked seeds, which are bitter.
More importantly, they require a lot of chewing and will even cause the following side effects:
Bloating, diarrhea and stomach cramps to name a few.
All these side effects are nothing to be afraid of because they are simply a reaction to fenugreek’s fiber content, however, I really advise you to stay away from consuming soaked fenugreek seeds since they are not going to increase your breasts size that much.
This is probably the most obvious one, yet most women are going to underestimate it and feel that they can live with the smell with no problems!
Well, you can’t!
The smell is not only very strong, it’s impossible to live with, in my opinion, and this comes from me, a person who really enjoys and loves fenugreek.
I’ve been consuming it for the last five years and trust me, it’s very fragrant and it’s going to make your armpits smell!
It’s because fenugreek has got a very strong maple syrup smell which is very pungent and annoying as well.
However, you can really get rid of it by following some easy steps every day.
For example, you need to take a shower before you go to bed the first week of using fenugreek for the first time, since your body won’t be accosted to it a lot.
You need to change sleeping clothes every morning, you have to wear quality undies when sleeping, cotton ones are the best, they are going to absorb the smell perfectly, and you have to always have a very nice deodorant with you.
But after some few weeks, the smell will tend to disappear and you won’t even notice it.
